March 7, 2016 - Stated Communication

During the Stated Communication held on March 7th, Howard Lodge No. 101 assembled to examine the work facing our membership during the coming week. As is tradition, a bountiful feast was served in the dining hall prior to the meeting allowing all in attendance to break bread and share time with one another. Once upstairs, minutes from the previous week's meeting were reviewed and motions were passed to pay a number of bills on behalf of the Lodge.

Worshipful Master John D. Everhart, Jr. reviewed a number of coming events with the Brothers to include our Open House on April 2nd, Service Awards (with the Grand Master Kenneth S. Wyvill, Jr. in attendance) on April 4th, Pancake Breakfast on April 9th, Master Mason appreciation night with the Jobs Daughters on April 27th, Religious Service at Bonnie Blink on May 1st, and a planned Red Cross Blood Drive on May 5th. The spring is shaping up to be a very busy season for our membership.

Brother Kevin Spencer introduced a new vendor which has been identified to provide embroidered, screen printed, and other Lodge-specific items to our members; a weblink to this new online store will be made available on this site in the near future to facilitate easy ordering. Additionally, discussion continued regarding the proposed work on our historic ceiling in the Lodge room. We are excited to see this project progress and uncover more of the beautiful mysteries of this component of the building.

Upon closing of the meeting, refreshment was provided in recognition of continued fellowship within Howard Lodge No. 101.
